The permitted permanent output current that flows through the load RL, is called rated operating current.
The rated operating voltage for DC switches is 24 VDC and 110 VDC for AC switches. The value indicates the operating voltage UB without tolerances. For determining the rated and limit value, the sensor must be used with Ue
Red light is visible light in the range between 600 and 780 nm. Red light transmitter diodes are emitting in the red light range with a wave length of 630 to 690 nm.
It is possible to redirect the ultrasonic sound by the help of smooth and plane reflectors. This means that no bigger increase of the detection area is possible. Therefore, an exact orientation of the reflector is necessary. Each redirection means that a loss occurs and because of this, the ultrasonic sound should not be redirected more than twice.
Within free space, light beams are spreading linearly. When they strike an object, they are reflected. Depending on the object surface, we distinguish between the following: Total internal reflection, retroreflection and diffuse reflection.
Reflective film consists of multiple elemental mirrors embedded in a film. These mirrors have excellent reflection characteristics because of their arrangement. The reflective film can be used instead of fixed reflectors and has the advantage that it can be cut easily to the demanded size. Normally, the film is self-adhesive.
At reflective light barriers, transmitter and receiver are situated in one housing. A reflector on the facing side of the sensing path reflects the light of the transmitter back to the receiver. The measuring object breaks the light beam and therefore activates a change of the output signal inside the receiver.
Reflecting light barriers are provided with corresponding polarisation filters so that they only respond to reflected light from special reflectors. These reflectors are based on the triple mirrors principle. The selection of the best appropriate reflector for each application depends on the required reach and the installation possibilities. The reflector must be positioned in an angle of 90° ± 15° in direction to the rays.
(also: reducibility) The repeatability R is determined in regard to EN 60947-5-2 under the following conditions: Temperature 23°C ± 5°C, relative humidity ≤ 90 %, measuring time 8h. The permissible deviation amounts in regard to the standard R ≤ 0,1 Sr.

The specified values for the switching distance are valid for the movement of the measuring plate in axial direction. Displaced or lateral movements apply to the typical curves in the devices-index.
Beside some exceptions of specific devices, all sensors of Pulsotronic have an internal electronic protection against accidental interchange of the connection wires.
The alternating voltage that is superior to the direct voltage Ue is defined as residual ripple ? in %. For the use of DC sensors, there is a need of filtered DC voltage with a maximum residual ripple of 15 % in regard to DIN 41755.
